It’s not so much the events in life, but the thoughts + feelings about them that create the world we live in.
This is why people respond to the same situation in completely different ways. We all know ‘glass half-empty’ and ‘glass half-full’ people.
These are extremes, but to some extent we are all governed by habitual thoughts and feelings which we’ve built up throughout our lives. Some of these will be based on sound principles but others we’ve simply picked up along the way and they can take control.
The Practical Philosophy Course helps to put these in perspective by learning to live in the present.
It’s a 10 week course covering different topics each week with the emphasis on group discussion and putting what is heard into practical everyday life.
