Belmont House in Stockport is our main study centre in Cheshire.
Many Philosophy Groups meet here in the evenings during the week and the Introductory Philosophy Courses are held here. It is also a venue for our What’s On courses & workshops and is also hired out to local charities and groups for community events.
It was originally a United Reformed Church and is designated a ‘building of local historic interest’. When the Philosophy School bought it in 2004, it needed extensive renovations. Students in the School together with professional craftsmen dedicated many hours to the restoration of this wonderful building to its present high standard.
