Autumn Gardening Skills Workshop
by Sue Jeffries
Would you like to build up your practical experience and skills in gardening?
Would you like to learn how to care for your garden in the autumn from first hand experience?
This is a rare opportunity to work alongside a trained horticulturalist, teacher and member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture in a beautiful four-acre country garden near Chorley in Lancashire. Sue will demonstrate the following skills, which you will have plenty of time to discuss and practise during the day:
● Autumn Pruning
● Lifting and Dividing Herbaceous Perennials
● Planting bulbs in borders and lawns
● Mulching borders and preparing them for winter
● Pest and weed identification and management
Complete beginners are welcome and the group is limited to eight people so that each person can receive support from the tutor.
Fee of £50 includes refreshments and lunch.
